Volunteer Benefits. One of San Diego’s fastest growing non-profits, the San Diego Public Library Foundation offers volunteers an opportunity to have a meaningful impact not only within our organization but on the community at large. Foundation volunteers become an integral part of our team and enjoy benefits such as invitations to special events, networking opportunities and professional development. As appropriate, Professional Volunteers may work in close contact with Foundation leadership, comprised of local community and business leaders. Student volunteers gain hands-on marketing and communications experience and, working directly under the mentorship of Foundation staff, will develop a body of work to build their portfolio/resume.
Volunteers may work from the Foundation’s downtown offices at the Central Library, or remotely, as appropriate. If you are interested in volunteering with the San Diego Public Library Foundation, please send an email with your resume and area of interest to eleggat@supportmylibrary.org.
